NAVAJO ART DISTRIC #37
Inspiration came from honey wheat fields under a cloudless blue sky kind of day. Perched above Navajo Street sits this this 1900's victorian right in the heart of one of Denver's first art districts, The Navajo Art District. When the project was completed, the home was 1,534 sqaure feet, two story, single family home. Originally only a 2 bedroom and 1 bath, we converted the footprint into 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. On the main level is an open concept living room and custom kitchen. Laundry, full bath, mudroom, and bedroom. On the top floor is the master bedroom with second bedroom and a 1/2 bath. Materials used included: hickory hardwoods throughout, quartz countertops, carrara marble in the upstairs bath, travertine stone in the main bath, and glass subway tiles as the backsplash in the kitchen. We used LG appliances in this home. For the dormer in front we used beetle kill pine on the underside which is native to Colorado and exhibits blue stain throughout the grain from the pine beetles.
